The Crocker Art Museum is the oldest art museum in the Western United States, located in Sacramento, California. Founded in 1885, the museum holds one of the premier collections of Californian art.

Templeton is a generous supporter of the arts and humanities at U.C. Davis, and the Art History Program in particular.

Templeton (B.A., art history and psychology, ‘82) has worked as a professional artist, labor union administrator and investor.
