Anne of Bohemia (11 May 1366 – 7 June 1394), also known as Anne of Luxembourg, was Queen of England as the first wife of King Richard II. A member of the House of Luxembourg, she was the eldest daughter of Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia, and Elizabeth of Pomerania.
He married Anne, daughter of the Emperor Charles IV of Bohemia and his wife Elisabeth of Pomerania and sister of King Wenceslas IV, in Westminster Abbey in January 1382 and was devoted to her. She was crowned two days later by Archbishop Courtenay. They had no children.
Regardless of such omens, Anne and King Richard were married in Westminster Abbey on 22 January 1382 and two days later Anne was crowned Queen of England. The young king appeared to be much pleased with his bride and paid her every attention. Anne was sixteen at the time of her arrival in England and Richard a year younger.
