Arnie Kogen is an American comedy writer and producer. He has written for TV, film, and is a longtime writer for Mad Magazine. Among his hundreds of Mad bylines, Kogen has written more than 100 film or television parodies.
His father is comedy writer Arnie Kogen. In 2001, Kogen had a son, Charlie, who is now a musician. Career. Kogen co-wrote several episodes of The Tracey Ullman Show and The Simpsons along with former writing partner Wallace Wolodarsky.
In his two-and-a-half-hour interview, Arnie Kogen talks about his early life and writing for MAD Magazine starting in 1959. He recalls early gigs writing for the nightclub acts of Jackie Vernon and Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, and later being on the writing staff of Candid Camera.
