The building houses a hotel, restaurant, and art gallery. Today the Dancing House is an iconic part of Prague’s cityscape and is an essential part of any tour of the Czech capital.
The famous building has become an integral part of Prague. The newly refurbished Dancing House opened for the public in 1996 and, in the same year, won the prestigious award of the American magazine Time in the Design of the year category. Previously, the house was destroyed in 1945 by the bombs of American aircraft confusing Prague for Dresden.
