Following Elizabeth Grey's death in 1529 he married Honor Grenville (1493-1566) the daughter of Sir Thomas Grenville (d. 1513) of Stowe, Kilkhampton, Cornwall, by his wife Isabella Gilbert. She was the widow of Sir John Bassett (d. 1528) of Umberleigh, Devon.
