  2. In that area, the best Italian restaurant is probably Biricchino, but the best Italian food in the City is in the West Village. Via Carota is arguably the best Italian restaurant in the country.

  3. Via Vai in Astoria will give most Italian a run for their money in nyc. Everything on the menu is fresh made in house and worth every penny. Growing up in an Italian fed house I tend to not eat Italian out too much but I’ve been back several times…it’s that good.

  4. Favorite Italian Restaurants in Manhattan, Queens, or Brooklyn? Hi everyone! I’m really fond of Italian food (both Italian-American and more traditionally authentic Italian), but when I search on my own and go by reviews, it’s pretty hit-or-miss; there’s a lot of fake reviews out there!

  5. Rezdora for food from Emilia Romagna, I Sodi for Tuscan, Via Carota and Nonna Dora’s for a mix. Other good places that are less strictly traditional Italian (and definitely not red sauce) but are still strong: Locanda Verde, L’Artusi, Altro Paradiso, and Babbo. Pepe Rosso.

  6. Camillo in PLG - fantastic, hard to find (in NYC) dishes and super reasonable. The Coda alla Vaccinara with oxtail and beef cheeks in a braised tomato sauce is amazing. Il Buco Alimentari - It's actually really easy to get a table here, the food is just as good as the og Il Buco, and things are very reasonably priced.

  7. Joes Restaurant in Ridgewood and Piccola Cucina in the West Village are the best I’ve had so far. They’re Sicilian oriented and make authentic dishes not regularly found at your typical Italian restaurant.
