  1. The windshield signatures have changed over the years. My 2023 has “Mercedes” as the signature. But in response to your question, no these are not applied by the dealer, they come from the factory. The signatures are different for all models, is either “G. Daimler” for: A, B, CLA, GLC, GLE coupe and G Wagon.

  3. It's been there for a while now. OEM Mercedes windshields all have some sort of signature or sticker/plaque with Gottlieb Daimler or Carl Benz signatures on them.

  5. Jun 26, 2002 · The sticker has the signature of either Carl Benz or Gottlieb Daimler. Check you car wtih the original windshield to see which one it is. The replacement windshields allegedly have the stickers with the signature of the other Daimler-Benz founder.

  7. There is a separation, but only the trucks are breaking off from the larger company. My 2021 GLA 45 AMG has the signature. I have W213 E350e, it has Carl Benz signature. All V177 A Class (2019-21) I’ve been in have had the former, but a 2021 GLC loaner I got had the latter so I’m curious what’s up with the….
