Casimir IV (Casimir Andrew Jagiellon; Polish: Kazimierz Andrzej Jagiellończyk [kaˈʑimjɛʂ jaɡʲɛ(l)ˈlɔj̃t͡ʂɨk] ⓘ; Lithuanian: Kazimieras Jogailaitis ⓘ; 30 November 1427 – 7 June 1492) was Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1440 and King of Poland from 1447 until his death in 1492.
Casimir IV fought for King Ludwig against Duke Vladislav the whites of Cujavia. Here he was wounded in front of the castle Zlotorya by a stone and soon died on January 2, 1377 in Bydgoszcz. He was buried in the Cistercian monastery Byssow.
