The Movie starts in an ultra small, dirt-poor town in the DEEEEEEP south and we are introduced to the main character Rae (Christina Ricci). She is a needy, underhanded nymphomaniac. Her boyfriend Ronnie (Justin Timberlake) has decided to join the military and make a future for the two of them and Rae has no idea how she will live without him.
