Eberhard III ( c. 1364 – 16 May 1417), nicknamed the Mild ( German: der Milde ), was Count of Württemberg from 1392 until his death in 1417. [1] Life. Eberhard was born in 1364, probably in Stuttgart, to Ulrich of Württemberg [ de] and Elisabeth of Bavaria [ de], daughter of Emperor Louis IV.

Eberhard was the son of Count Ulrich I of Württemberg, who died a few weeks before his birth. His mother was Agnes of Silesia-Legnica, a daughter of Bolesław II Rogatka. [1] She probably died at his birth; some sources speak of a caesarean section . Eberhard was married three times.

Eberhard III was the second son of John Frederick, 7th Duke of Württemberg and Barbara Sophie of Brandenburg. He married twice, first on 26 February 1637 with Anna Katharina Dorothea, Wild- and Rheingräfin of Salm-Kyrburg-Mörchingen (27 January 1614 – 27 June 1655).

Early life. Eberhard was the son of Ulrich V, Count of Württemberg and Elisabeth of Bavaria-Landshut. [2] He spent much of his youth at the Burgundian court. [3] In 1461 he took part in the coronation of King Louis XI of France in Reims. In 1462 he returned to Württemberg.
