May 1, 2023 · Its architecture was designed by Clemente Fernández Sarela, one of the main architects of the Compostela’s Baroque, disciple of Fernando de Casas Novoa, the author of the cathedral facade of the Obradoiro. The building was built between 1754 and 1758 and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful examples of the Galician baroque.

Nació en torno al año 1670 en una familia de clase baja. Comenzó con fray Gabriel de Casas a trabajar en el claustro del conjunto catedralicio de Lugo.
Fernando de Casas Novoa. (Santiago de Compostela, hacia 1670-1749) Arquitecto español que fue el principal representante de la arquitectura barroca en Galicia. En 1711 sucedió a su maestro, fray Gabriel Casas, al frente de las obras del claustro de la catedral de Lugo, finalizado en 1714.
