Apr 24, 2015 · Well, it turns out that he wanted out of jail early in order to spend more time with Will ( Tye Sheridan ), his estranged 15-year-old son who is suffering from an inoperable brain tumor, and who has been living with his own irascible father ( Christopher Plummer) during his stretch in the stir.
It is a tumor. But it's a one of a kind tumor. It obviously changed his brain in such a way to make him a super genius with psychic powers. A doctor wanted to examine the tumor closer but Travolta decided he'd rather spend what time he had left with loved ones.
It follows an aging art forger, played perfectly by John Travolta, who makes a deal to bribe a judge in order to get out of prison early so that he can be with his son who is dying of brain cancer. Unfortunately, the deal he strikes involves him having to do one final great forgery of a painting masterpiece, in a plot for a grand art heist.
