   Is Carolina moonshine a good train ride?

   • Well after reading so many reviews that were mixed on this train ride we boarded with low expectations. Luckily we chose the right car, which was the Carolina moonshine package. The tables inside this section of train are comfortable and the air conditioning is a wonderful perk. We were given 7 mini shots of moonshine along with a tasty pork lunch.

   Why did GSMR do the train journey?

   • GREAT job GSMR!! Keep it up and keep Steve!! ;) The reason we did the train journey was because the grandchild loves diesel trains. He thoroughly enjoyed the rocking of the cars and the experience of watching the train as it rounded the bands or going into the tunnel.

   • Rolling stock for the GSMR was purchased from various railroads around the nation. The Dillsboro to Nantahala route was one of the most scenic on the Murphy Branch and the excursion trains caught on right away. Upward of 200,000 passengers enjoy the scenery each year aboard the excursion trains.
