Hatice Halime Hatun was the daughter of Isfendiyâr Bey, ruler of the Isfendiyarids. When Murad II, the Ottoman Sultan, sided against Isfendiyar alongside his rebellious son Kazim Bey, to whom he give in spouse one of his sisters, Fülane Sultan Hatun, Isfendiyar offered Murad peace and proposed to seal the deal with a double marriage.
