Aug 21, 2022 · When you steer with a controller, your input is anywhere from 0% to 100%, depending on your precision with the thumbstick. When you steer on a keyboard, it's 0% OR 100%, no in-between. So tapping is required to give gentle turning.
Reduce your airtime. Time spent in the air is time spent not accelerating. Tap brake in the air to stabilize your car; sometimes you can get a smoother landing like this. Steering on dirt & grass slows you down. You can "smooth steer" (turning gently) to prevent that.
