May 4, 2024 · In around February 2017, several Robloxians such as Kazok, Equillex and more started a rumor saying that John Doe and Jane Doe would hack Roblox on March 18 (2017), and this rumor was frequently mentioned in some clickbait videos, which caused massive panic all over the game and site itself.

People were panicking, games were ‘hacked’ and there was exploiters everywhere pretending to be John Doe or Jane Doe. I was counting every minute down, and recorded lag spikes. We did everything to track down and see how Roblox was doing.
The reason why people thought it was some hacker was because somone somehow got onto the account and played some games and scared people although Jane doe was not hacked or touched.
John Doe was a test account made, but people started rumours saying an infamous hacker (i think 1x1x1x1 or TheC0mmunity) hacked into it, and on march 18th John Doe would hack everyone playing. The hacking on March 18th never happened and it was just people spreading false rumours.
Jul 25, 2022 · Since Feb. 27, the John and Jane Doe accounts have not been officially active. They have both appeared to accept friends and badges at one time. But many suspect this is the work of hackers getting into these accounts.
