Jarosław of Opole (Polish: Jarosław opolski; aft. 1143 – 22 March 1201) was a Duke of Opole from 1173 and Bishop of Wrocław from 1198 until his death. He was the oldest son of Bolesław I the Tall , by his first wife Zvenislava , daughter of Vsevolod II Olgovich , Grand Prince of Kiev .

After a long-term dispute in 1172 the Duchy of Opole was formed with Jarosław becoming the first duke. In turn he was obliged to an ecclesiastical career and became Bishop of Wrocław in 1198. When Duke Jarosław died in 1201, the Opole lands reverted to his still living father Bolesław and were briefly incorporated into the Duchy of Wrocław.

The church was probably intended to be the tomb-chapel of Jarosław, Duke of Opole and Bishop of Wrocław (1198-1201). When we go past the column covering the presbytery, we can see the modern bas-relief of the Blessed John Paul II and the restored 18th-century figures of Christ and the Holy Mother surrounded by images of the four Evangelists.
