Karl Viktor Müllenhoff (born September 8, 1818, in Marne, Duchy of Holstein; died February 19, 1884, in Berlin) was a German philologist who specialized in Germanic studies. Biography [ edit ] He was born in Marne , Holstein as the second son of merchant Johann Anton Müllenhoff.
Karl Viktor Müllenhoff war der zweitälteste Sohn des Marner Kaufmanns Johann Anton Müllenhoff und der Anna geborene Peters. Er besuchte von 1830 bis 1837 das Gymnasium in Meldorf und studierte danach in Kiel, Leipzig und Berlin. Während seines Studiums wurde er 1837 Mitglied der Burschenschaft Albertina Kiel. [1]
