Piledriver (microarchitecture) AMD Piledriver Family 15h is a microarchitecture developed by AMD as the second-generation successor to Bulldozer. It targets desktop, mobile and server markets. It is used for the AMD Accelerated Processing Unit (formerly Fusion), AMD FX, and the Opteron line of processors.
It is used in APUs succeeding the Bobcat Family microarchitecture in 2013 and being succeeded by AMD's Puma architecture in 2014. It is two-way superscalar and capable of out-of-order execution.
Kryo is a microarchitecture designed by Qualcomm implementing the ARMv8-A 64-bit instruction set, and serves as the successor to the old 32-bit Krait core. It was announced in September 2015 and first used in the Snapdragon 820 SoC, which is manufactured in Samsung's 14 nm FinFET process.

Hey BaPC, Well, as we are all probably aware intel has a new CPU architecture coming out next year codenamed 'haswell' ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haswell_%28microarchitecture%29 ) Well, two of my friends are building a PC next year, with a budget around 1500, to be primarily used for gaming, programming and video editing.
