Aug 13, 2019 · About the Event. The Brooks St. Surfing Classic was started in 1955 in Laguna Beach, Ca. It is the oldest continuing surf contest in the world. Kalos Agathos Foundation has underwritten the First Prize since 1963 and is honored to continue its support of the event and the Laguna Beach surfing community.
