Sep 19, 2023 · Junior School Entry. We are very proud of the success of our Junior School assessment procedure, and therefore give automatic entry to the Senior School for any pupil who has been taught in our Junior School. There is no requirement to take the Senior School entrance examination.
Jul 17, 2023 · Year 7 Entry. Boys applying for entry to Year 7 attend one of our Assessment Days and also sit an Entrance Exam. On the Assessment Day, boys are taught a Maths lesson, a topic-based lesson, and participate in a series of group activities. They also complete a piece of creative writing.
The Manchester Grammar Junior School celebrates 15 years This term is the fifteenth anniversary of the opening of the Junior Section at MGS. MGS has a long tradition of educating boys younger than – in modern terms - secondary age (under eleven).
