Missing Persons is an American rock band founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio (née Consalvi), and drummer Terry Bozzio. They later added bassist Patrick O'Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild.
She is best known as co-founder and lead singer of the '80s new wave band Missing Persons and for her work with Frank Zappa. While with Zappa, she performed significant roles in two of his major works, Joe's Garage (1979) and Thing-Fish (1984).

Missing Persons were the New Wave rock band in the 1980s that had the boppy, skinny-tie sound, but did it in a way that included major musical virtuosity. Terry Bozzio on drums, and Warren Cuccurullo on guitars, spent time in Frank Zappa’s band, as did Terry’s then-wife, Dale Bozzio.
