   • Even though entrance to Monmouth Castle is free, we were expecting to see more than just the keep and some remaining walls. The keep is locked and, if you look through the lower windows, all you see if life size cut outs of soldiers through the ages. The adjoining military museum was closed with no information available saying when it was open.
