Old Town Hall is located in the heart of the nationally recognized City of Fairfax Historic District at 3999 University Drive. Adjacent to the Old Town Hall and historic Ratcliffe-Allison house are the Kitty Pozer Garden as well as Old Town Square.
A renovation of the hall by the City and Historic Fairfax City, Inc. was completed in 1987. Second floor renovations began in 1995 and are now complete. Many residents saw their first motion picture here in 1911 (the admission price was 10 cents).

Old Town Hall. Old Town Hall is the social architectural cornerstone of the City. Joseph E. Willard presented the Hall as a gift to the citizens of Fairfax in 1900. Built by Arthur Thompson, a local contractor, the classical revival style Hall retains much of its original woodwork.
Old Town Hall is a classical revival style hall that was built in 1900 by Joseph E. Willard and subsequently donated by him to Fairfax, Virginia. The hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987 as part of the City of Fairfax Historic District .
The City of Fairfax has owned and managed the Hall since the early 1960s. The Fairfax Herald called the Hall, “ an ornament for our town,” in 1899, and it remains the architectural cornerstone of Old Town Fairfax today.
