Aug 8, 2007 · If that's the Paul Sims in Richmond, Virginia, I can tell you that I purchased coins for gifts from him on about 6 occasions (most purchases were State Quarters). On 5 occasions coins were as advertised or better.
Oct 12, 2005 · October 12, 2005 5:27AM. I didn't buy from Sims but another 2-pager CW advertiser last year. From that experience, I wouldn't recommend buying cheap "BU" coins to fill a minimum order to PCGS. You are likely to get body-bagged for cleaning or if they do grade, expect a low-to-mid AU.
Aug 17, 2005 · If you are looking for raw coins only - try Rare Coins of New Hampshire. They guarantee the coin will certify at the grade. Ask Paul Simms if he guarantees his grades !
Dec 5, 2002 · For a couple of months in Coin World I kept seeing an ad from Paul Simms for 1971 proof sets at $4.95. Well, today I decided that that was a decent price and I called to place an order. The lady on the other end of the phone told me that the current selling price is $6.95.
Jun 3, 2002 · Paul Simms sells coins on eBay under the ID "best crystal" (or something like that). Nowhere in the listings do they reveal their true identity. I think that says something.
Feb 2, 2008 · It's almost a right of passage for coin collectors to buy from one of these big companies, figure out they got jobed, and avoid them in the future. We can speak volumes to companies like CD, Paul Sims, Ken Pines, etc. when we DON'T spend any money with them. The $ is louder than anything.
