Following an attempted robbery of Valjean by Thénardier and the Patron-Minette, a local street gang — a scene cut from the concert — the song details Javert’s intentions to recapture Valjean, as it is the only way, in his mind, for justice to be served.
Quast's singing, particularly the emotive track "Stars", has received international acclaim. He has appeared in the cast recordings for several musicals over the years, but he has also released his own album titled 'Live at the Donmar', a work containing both covers and original material.
