DIRECTOR. THEY HUNT is a 2d animated short film created by Rhys Byfield. They Hunt started as a personal project whilst working for STUDIO AKA, but soon turned into a full-time endeavour. Helped by a talented crew, Rhys finished THEY HUNT in 2019 with a premiere screening at the Bloomsbury CURZON Theater.

After finishing ELLIOTT FROM EARTH Rhys was asked to direct the animation for THE GUMBALL CHRONICLES, an 8 part clip show stitched together with new animation and narrative. In addition to looking after the animation, Rhys designed the title card for THE CURSE OF ELMORE and was an extra set of eyes on the project as a whole.
