Salgótarján ( Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈʃɒlɡoːtɒrjaːn]; Slovak: Šalgotarján) is a city with county rights in Hungary, the capital of Nógrád county, north-eastern Hungary, making it the third smallest county capital based on population. Nearby Salgó Castle is a well-known tourist attraction.
