Ralph Bakshi
In Ralph Bakshi's 1978 version of The Lord of the Rings, Sauron is said to have forged the "master ring" to gain control over the 19 others. He corrupts 9 men into Nazgûl. Since Bakshi's production ran out of money before he could finish an adaptation of Return of the King, Sauron's fate in this adaptation is left unresolved.
