Adopting Your Next Pet. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS. Adopting a new pet is a big commitment, and we have a few requirements you must meet before you can bring your new pet home: Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. Adopter must have consent from landlord and all other members listed in your household.

Available Cats – SPCA of Hancock County, Maine. You can visit our cats in the lobby and rooms Wednesdays through Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm. No appointment is needed, but if you want to adopt, you must fill out an application and be approved. We also recommend bringing a carrier with you.
