Another important thing to do is pick the right casus belli, if you're defending, just defend the war goal (it'll likely be conquest), if you're attacking, pick a conquest CB on an isolated province, occupy it quickly and let the war score rise up. Max war goal + battles will give +65 war score which is enough to force a peace deal.

Sep 4, 2015 · To make sure it would make sense, I fitted historical events to fit EU4. 1444 - Hungary tries to force Styria to release Austria 1446 - Hungary and Styria make white peace, Styria releases Tirol 1450 - Hungary tries to liberate Austria, but fails 1452 - Austria successfully rebels from Styria, Austria and Hungary form a personal union
