'The Edge' Synopsis: An intellectual billionaire and two lesser men struggle to band together and survive after getting stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with a blood-thirsty Kodiak Bear hunting them down. 'The Edge' is about two men fighting it out in the Wilderness.
Premise: A wealthy bookworm (Anthony Hopkins) gets stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with a fashion photographer (Alec Baldwin). As the two men try to find their way home they are stalked by a man-eating bear (Bart the Bear) and begin to suspect that they cannot trust each other.
The Edge is an entertaining hybrid of brainy Mamet dialogue with brawny outdoors action -- albeit one that sadly lacks as much bite as its furry antagonist. Read Critics Reviews
