The Wolf Cub's Handbook is an instructional handbook on Wolf Cubs training, published in various editions since December 1916. Early editions were written and illustrated by Robert Baden-Powell with later editions being extensively rewritten by others. THE WOLF CUBS Young Scouts who are not quite old enough to join the Boy Scouts are called “Wolf Cubs.” Why? For this reason, a Wolf Cub is a young Wolf. Scouts are called “Wolves,” and young Scouts are therefore called “Wolf Cubs.” In the far Western prairies of America the Red Indians were a nation of scouts.
