The 1998-built Grand Princess cruise ship is the 1st Grand-class Princess Cruises liner, with sisterships Crown, Diamond, Caribbean, Golden (now Pacific Adventure), Emerald, Ruby, Star (now Pacific Encounter) and Sapphire. The vessel (IMO number 9104005) is currently Bermuda-flagged (MMSI 310327000) and registered in Hamilton.

Unveiled way back in 1998, it's the namesake vessel for the line's Grand class of vessels, which remain at the core of the Princess fleet. There are seven Grand-class vessels in the Princess fleet in all, making it the biggest grouping of ships at the line.
