  2. Feb 15, 2012 · Jimmy and Janet Dorrell started an experiment in "incarnational living" in Waco's poorest area in the late 1970s that gave birth to Mission Waco/Mission World, a ministry that has transformed the neighborhood and now reaches out to the poor in Haiti, Mexico and India.

  3. This mission demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Waco provided flood relief to Eastern Kentucky after a series of storms swept through the area.

  4. Jun 17, 2021 · Jimmy Dorrell is Co-founder and President Emeritus of Mission Waco Mission World. He grew up in Conroe, Texas and attended Baylor University, where he received a BA in religion in 1972. He earned his M. Div. in 1978 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
