Firstly, what is People Like Us? People Like Us, known by its members as simply PLU, is a home exchange community. Our members exchange their homes with each other when they travel. Why would you do that? Well, firstly and most obviously, it saves a lot of money.
People Like Us is one of the newer home exchange networks, but the fastest growing. In the past year they have doubled in membership. A remarkable achievement considering that half the year included a pandemic, which put a stop to most folks even thinking about traveling.

People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet.
The original idea was to have private communities but it turned out not as popular as our public community so that's what we focus on now. The site was launched on the 1st of April 2018 and, in a very short space of time, has grown into the world's friendliest community of home swappers.

The amount of detail provided is personal. A successful exchange depends on good communication. PLU offers a great platform.
Apr 16, 2023 · PLU is a wonderful community of home swappers. I’ve found that the swappers are friendly, like-minded people, and have a lot of respect for your property. The owner, Drew, uses a great balance of crowd-sourced opinions as well as his own judgement when determining what new features to incorporate.
