For Snow Queen to unlock everything you will want a guide again because you have to do the hardest dungeon first (so fighting enemies that are in their 40s and 50s as low level scrubs). The Wikidot is useful here in that it walks you through prep to make this manageable.
SEBEC Route (Chapter 1) - Persona 1 Guides. When you are ready to begin the SEBEC Route you'll want to exit St. Hermelin High via the hole in the wall pictured above. After you make your choice here there will be some scenes during which Maki and Nanjo join your party permanently.
As far as advice is concerned, you can only get new Personas by fusing demon cards given you by enemies, and you can only get those by persuading the enemies not to fight, so be sure to talk to enemies you haven't seen before. I don't think it's possible to get cards from enemies who are higher level than you, though.
