Hello, I am sorta new to War Thunder and was wondering what nation should i play for the best results. I am currently at 5.3 for USSR, Germany, and the US but I can't decide what nation I should play.
- USA. Good Armor. Good Firepower. Light Tanks are exceptionally mobile, while other tanks have decent mobility, too. Most tanks don’t have too many flaws.
- USSR. Best Armor out of the Big 3 (USA, USSR, Germany) Powerful cannons. Has a Sloped Armor, which makes them hard to destroy from the front, especially at low tiers.
- Germany. Some of the most accurate and highest-velocity guns. Heavier tanks are deceptively fast. Lots of Tank Destroyer options. Lots of Medium and Heavy Tanks.
- Great Britain. Great frontal armor. Cannons fire relatively fast. Very Good in defensive roles. Has one of the best close-air support. Early access to Sabot Rounds.

Nov 4, 2017 · Pros : Extremely fast at all tiers. Great energy retention. High ammo count allows for some spraying. Most fighters can carry huge ordanance. Forgiving repair cost. Best Bombers ingame. Best or second best attackers ingame. Great at higher altitudes.

If you're unsure, go for one of the big 3. It's hard to say which country has the best vehicles right now - some would say USSR (which currently has the most recent top tiers and the highest win rate), some would say Germany, some would maybe say Sweden.
Feb 28, 2024 · I’d personally recommend the US or Germany (big surprise, I know) because they both have really good and well-fleshed-out tech trees, especially in the WWII area you are currently at. For a faster grind, France or Italy are pretty good but of course the faster grind comes at the cost of less vehicles to choose from.
