May 4, 2017 · 1- Built about 1795 The Historic Shenandoah County Courthouse is a stone structure on main street. It is the oldest operating courthouse west of the Blue Ridge Mountains . It now houses a museum and only an actual court case a few times a year in order to abide by the terms of the original land owners.
