- Plyo Push-Ups. Target muscles: Pectoralis major, deltoids, triceps, core. Most exercisers are familiar with plyo push-ups, even if they don’t appreciate what an effective upper body power builder they really are.
- Depth Drop Push-Ups. Target muscles: Pectoralis major, deltoids, triceps, core. This exercise increases the eccentric load. As such, you’ll need to work harder to control your descent.
- Tall Kneeling Med Ball Chest Pass. Target muscles: Pectoralis major, deltoids, triceps, core. While I’m a massive fan of plyometric and depth drop push-ups, I also appreciate that they may be too challenging for some people.
