LeBlanc Jr. Whitney LeBlanc, born on June 20th, 1931, in Memphis, Tennessee, spent his formative years in Opelousas, Louisiana. He pursued higher education at the University of Iowa, where he earned a Master’s in Theater Production in 1958.
Whitney J. LeBlanc grew up in Louisiana and has spent more than half of his fifty year career in Hollywood as a director for television sitcoms, and daytime dramas. He has worked as a university professor, professional theatre set designer, and television producer . In 2003 he was the recipient of the Amistad award for his novel Blues in the Wind.
