Leonardo wanted to know everything about nature.

The term Renaissance Man (someone who does many things very well) was coined from Leonardo's many talents and is today used to describe people who resemble da Vinci.
Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452, on his father’s family estate near Vinci, just outside of Florence, in what is now Italy. He grew up and was educated on the estate. When he was 15 his father apprenticed him to the artist Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence. Under Verrocchio he studied painting, sculpture, and the mechanical arts.
