WikiProject Video games maintains Reliable Sources for Video Games, a Google Custom Search Engine that searches sites on the video games reliable sources list. A search using this engine is a good litmus test of whether a topic is covered in popular games press.

Jul 1, 2024 · The goals of this WikiProject is to work and improve all items about video games. In particular, we ambition to be the hub for all videogame metadata, linking together hundreds of databases.
See List of open-source video games for a number of them to pull from. Their licenses should of course be verified. Please note that all video games listed here should not only have freely licensed source code, but, most importantly, freely licensed data; there is a distinction between the two.
