Harry Reid International Airport (IATA: LAS, ICAO: KLAS, FAA LID: LAS) is an international airport serving the Las Vegas Valley, a metropolitan area in the U.S. state of Nevada. It is located five miles (8 km; 4 nmi) south of downtown Las Vegas in the unincorporated area of Paradise and covers 2,800 acres (11 km 2 ) of land.
May 4, 2023 · The City of Las Vegas was founded in 1905, and in 1906 the first hotel in downtown Las Vegas was built. It was originally named Hotel Nevada, but today it is known as the Golden Gate. (See my article about the Golden Gate Hotel here ). The surrounding area known as Clark County was created in 1909.
