The Wisbech and Upwell Tramway was a rural standard gauge tramway in East Anglia. It was built by the Great Eastern Railway between Wisbech, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, and Upwell, now in Norfolk, to carry agricultural produce.

The tram started on the outer face of the 'up' island platform at the Wisbech East (former East Anglian Railway) station. In order to accommodate the tram carriages, the platform was only 1ft 2in above rail level.
The Wisbech & Upwell Tramway entered the ownership of the LNER in 1923 with the rest of the GER network. By this time, the through journey time had been reduced from 1 hour to only 39 minutes, but was too slow compete with the motor omnibuses that had started to appear.
The Wisbech to Outwell Tramway opened as an experiment in 1883 and was extended to Upwell in 1884. At its peak, six trams a day in each direction provided passenger and, most importantly, freight services for local produce to Wisbech and then via the main railway link to larger towns and cities.
