WIZARDS comes very close to working, but overall it doesn't work. The animation is mostly mediocre, and the movie suffers from too damn much rotoscoping (which comes across more as laziness than stylish - though I'm sure Bakshi used this to save a few bucks and not for artistic intentions).

Nov 8, 2017 · After having seen it, I can admit that, while Wizards isn’t for everybody, it certainly qualifies as an animated gem and is easily one of my personal favorite animated movies. What is Wizards? Wizards is kind of hard to explain without first understanding the man who made it.
