Mickey-2 6 July 2007. The year is 1870 and the place is Lincoln County in New Mexico territory. A young William H. Bonney is rescued from a possible hanging by John Tunstall, who befriends the youth and makes him part of the family of young guns known as Regulators.
Dec 8, 2023 · Young Guns was one of my favorite “modern” Westerns, a nearly anachronistic retelling of the life story of Billy the Kid, his outlaw escapades and his “deaths”. Overall, the picture is rich, and appears to be a well-done 4K upgrade.
Young Guns is best watched in the playful, none-too-serious spirit in which it was made. Though the film concentrates reverentially on its young stars, it also includes good performances from a few grown-ups, notably Terry O'Quinn as a lawyer and Jack Palance as the story's wild-eyed villain.
Young Guns is a 1988 American Western action film [2] directed and produced by Christopher Cain and written by John Fusco. The film dramatizes the adventures of Billy the Kid during the Lincoln County War, which took place in New Mexico in 1877–78.
