Nov 7, 2022 · One way (pun intended) to sharpen a 40-40 bowl gouge is with a Oneway Vary-Grind jig plus the gauge from Ron Brown. This works fine but there are several setup steps required. I had a Vari-Grind II that I was not using and decided to dedicate it to sharpening a 40-40 grind.
