  5. Yeah Biggie and Tupac is great. That moment when he just walks unannounced into that barber shop always cracks me up. I would definitely recommend Fetishes, Tracking Down Maggie and The Leader, His Driver and the Driver's Wife. Also the first Aileen doc (although I don't think it's as good as this one). There's a nice Broomfield boxset, actually.

  6. And they had trouble placing Aileen Wuornos into any of their categories, because all the male killers with similar MOs to her had a sexual component to their crimes. She was a unicorn. And yeah, I agree that it makes her a little harder to despise than someone who gets sexual gratification from the suffering of others.

  7. Aileen got a sympathetic movie made about her that justified her actions, but you would never see that movie made about a male serial killer with a horrific childhood. I think it's because she's such an extreme outlier, the gender ratio of serial killers in insanely weighted towards men, and the women counted are usually part of a couple/group.
