Ann Carr Tunney started her gymnastics career at the Mannettes Gymnastics Club of Philadelphia under coaches William and Ginny Coco. Continuing her career at Penn State University with Judi Avener, Carr Tunney was the first woman in Penn State history to be awarded a full scholarship based on athletic talent.
